In Matrix and Philosophy the terms source and ontological status. The word source would mean the cause. Ontological is existence or reality in general, as well as of the basic categories of being and their relations. It’s a way of showing what exist and what does not exist. One would be more real than the other one. The source would be the way things came to be. Like how the machines came to be and take over and use humans and make them. The source of being in the unreal is that it was machines that would make people not knowing how. The matrix is controlled by a super computer which makes the unreal world.
The ontological status, the unreal world depends on the real world because the machines control the people’s minds. The machines are what help the unreal world exist. If what the machines the unreal world ‘the matrix’ would not exist. The machines in the real world need to exist if it would to bring down the machines from the real world the humans would be freed from the unreal world that they are in. The source is that the world is the machines are what control the people the unreal world. The unreal world would be useless if the real world did not exist.

Could we be living in the Matrix? This is explained in the book further more in different types of views. Whether someone would think we are and some who don’t. In one part of the book it would explain how touching would be the truth. The truth in which means reality. Touch is a way to tell the difference between real and unreal. Touch is more reliable than vision because of the way of hallucination. Vision would not be the truth on what one might see. As in touch you can rely on its feel. In the movie The Matrix you can see that touch has a lot to do in the movie. As in when Trinity revives Neo back to life with the kiss. Even when Cypher would unplug the people the first person he would grab his back of his head knowing what’s going to happen to him.
In another part of the book they would talk about how we are in fact in the Matrix. Peter Unger there would be an evil scientist who using a computer to generate electrical impulses that are transmitted to our central nervous system. Using this methods the scientist would deceive us into thinking there are things there in which reality there is no such thing of that. Hilary Putnam would give a situation in whether they would take our brain away from our bothers and putting us in a container and they would make us believe we are still in the chair. Then you would think you would get up but in fact you are not actually doing any sort of things you’re just in container while a computer of some sort is sending you feedback enough to make it look real. Could we be living in the Matrix it’s in fact in what you believe.

The elements that we see in of Jesus story and the matrix would be when Neo died and was born again in the beginning of the movie when Neo went down the tube and was pulled of the cables. Also when Neo died and was reborn by a kiss by trinity. Also when Neo died he died and fell in a way where it was symbolic way when Jesus died on the cross and blood would be on the wall coming down as Jesus would have blood coming down when he nailed down. Some comparisons between Socrates and Neo main comparisons from Irwin’s would be that both Neo and Socrates would both doubt themselves at times. In the Matrix the movie Neo would doubt himself when he was told he was the one. Also they both would spread the word around. Chaeraphon would be the teller and Socrates would be the person to spread it. Morpheus would be Chaeraphon and Neo would be the one to spread the idea’s that he would be the person to change the world and him being the one.
The Allegory of the Cave is about how people were chained since they were born and had to watch shadows since the only way they could face was the wall. The shadows were made by a fire that was placed behind them and then there was bridge behind too and people with all sorts of animals and objects would pass by and the only thing that the chained people can see was the shadows thinking it was reality. When one would be dragged out to the real world the person would think it’s not believable in where he was. The person would come back to tell the other people in the cave but the people still chained would think he had went crazy.
The Allegory of the Cave comparison to the Matrix is very similar. The Matrix was a world made up to believe that it was real. It would indeed be fake it would all be a dream or an illusion. In the cave it would be a way the people were chained and saw shadows thinking it was reality in what they saw. Once a chained person was let out they would see what reality was and would have to think if it was all a dream. In the Matrix every person in it would be actually be sleeping and yet have not been awoken.
In some ways the Matrix can be a commentary on film-making would be how it got its ideas for the movie from philosophers and was able to come up with a story line for the movie. It would grab the attention of people knowing that its turn into a visual way of seeing it. Blog 1
Being in the Socrates' cave, I would be in the stage walking out into the light. I would be in this stage because I would b able to get use to surrounding in where I I am placed. Whenever I am trying a new thing that I have never done before I would understand the basics of it. I get use to the idea of learning more things in what I see. I would open my mind into seeing why things happen and get use to the fact that there is a reason for everything. I would get the understanding in why things would go a certain way. Like math, you must know how to get to an end of a problem and it would show you the answer. After a time of seeing things, you would get use to the idea. I also feel that I am in the time were I’m still learning more things about where I am standing right now. I am in a place were I’m still finding out what I’m going to do in my future. I would still have to know what I want to do learn more about it. I am still in the learning process that is why I am still in school trying to learn more than what I already know. That is why I would consider myself the person walking into the light because I still believe I still needs to learn more in what I don’t know yet. I would be in a learning process and waiting for whatever the world throws at me.
About me
Me I consider myself to be a person to be use to whatever the world throws at me. I would not say even society does have to do something about me because it would change a person’s life. I would like to say I like to be an outside person. I don’t like to stay inside because it would make me feel like I I’m locked up in a cage. I like playing football which is the sport I’m mostly fond by. I would think it would be me playing in the NFL one of these days but then when I look at my shot at the NFL it would fade in distance. The green light I would see in a far horizon would fade in a cloud little by little. I would then start to look in another direction where I would start to look for another opportunity where I would like to do in my career.
I would also like helping other people. For this I would get this from when I was younger. I would participate in an organization called The Boy Scouts of America. I would like to say it was the thing that I would like to hate when I was young but it would not because it would inspire me to help other people where ever I would go. I also like to hang out with my friends a lot. I would hang out with them a lot because I would grow up with them since we were little. They would be considered to me like family because they are very close to me. As for my family that I have at home this is my mom the only person that is there for me since I was small. There would also be my aunt’s uncles but I live with my mom and she would try and make my life better for me. I would thank her for everything she has done for me but there are sometimes words that can’t express the thanks that she deserves.
This would is a little about me that makes me. I I'm a person that is not scared to try new things. I would also be a shy person when it comes to meeting new people. So if I don’t talk I'm just shy but when I get use to it I would not stop talking. At the most I live life to the fullest because you never going to happen. Always do the things that make you happy.
